I've got 5 weeks and 5 days left of my pregnancy, thank the Lord! Baby is head down (she's been head down every appointment since 28 weeks) and she's growing right on track! My next appointment will be 36 weeks and from then on I'll be going to the doctor every week. Man I'm just so ready for October to get here and to finally see what she looks like! I'm so curious as to what color she'll be, I'm "yellow" and daddy is more "caramel" so she could go either way, and I'm praying she has "easy" hair. I say easy because Pumpkins hair, well lets just say its been a struggle. I have a feeling she's going to look just like daddy though, even though I secretly hope she's a good mixture of both of us (leaning more towards mommy though haha!) I ordered my diaper bag so definitely stay tuned to find out which one I chose! Honestly I may buy 2 just because I'm so in love with 2 different diaper bags but we'll see.
They also have classes you can take where you earn points for attending and then you can use your points in their baby boutique (all brand new clothing and accessories) and in their thrift store. So I definitely took advantage of a lot of the classes and Baby is set wardrobe wise for at least her first 6 - 9 months! So definitely check to see if your city has any programs such as this one!
Anywho back to the storage!
I live in a 2 bedroom so that means Pumpkin and Baby will be sharing not only a room but closet & storage space. I rarely used the closet for pumpkin because I just kept all her clothing in her drawer. So I decided to go ahead and make the closet the place I hang most of baby's clothing. Then I recently purchased this little hanging organizer to add more storage space in the closet.
For everything else I purchased the Munchkin Nursery Organizer. I love this because I'm able to fit all her non clothes items plus all her onesies. I think I'm going to buy one more storage item just in case because as you can see I've used all the storage up. Definitely a good thing because she is pretty much set but I'm waiting to see what all I get at my baby shower before I buy the last storage piece.
What is/was your favorite way to store your baby's clothes and accessories.
My son in law re-did a long dresser with long flat top and 6 large drawers. Perfect changing table and plenty of storage for items you need right there handy.
ReplyDeleteShe will be dressed in style!! I love little girl's clothing :)
ReplyDeleteNesting is beginning. Lucky baby.
ReplyDeleteOhh, good use of space by using the hanging storage racks. That's really helpful for baby clothes in the closet since their clothes are so tiny that they don't take up much hanging space on their own.
ReplyDeleteOh I am loving that organizer! We put our little one's things in plastic drawers. That organizer would've been so much more attractive than that. Congrats on your newest little!!
ReplyDeleteWow you are sooooo organized! I love it!! Great post, thanks for the peek inside your life with baby!
ReplyDeleteAw, I love the organization! I could only imagine how useful this is for mommies who need a little order to the chaos!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the little one. We used a little 3 drawer plastic "dresser" as an extra and hid extra wipes, diapers etc. It was on wheels so we could move it if needed.
ReplyDeleteOh i love the hanging organizer! I'll need to pick one up!
ReplyDeleteThese are some great tips! I honestly didn't know that about the pregnancy resource center classes! I'll have to check that out in my area. I love the hanging organizers, and have something very similar going on for my baby #2 (who is also due next month!)
ReplyDeleteAwww she's all set. For my granddaughter we bought a 9 slot storage area and added bins that matched her color scheme for her room. It held her socks and tights, shoes, some held bows, blankets, and oneies. It definitely helped with staying organized! Congrats and I look forward to more post on your soon to be bundle of joy. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOrganization with loads of cuteness! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou're so organized and your closets look great! You must be so excited to meet your new baby!
ReplyDeleteLoved the hanging organizer! It gives neat look to clothes!
ReplyDeleteYou are ready to go! Good for you! I love the closet storage sets you have. I have something similar and it really does help with closet space.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Looks like you have things good and ready for the new addition. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love all those adorable little pink clothes! You did a great job organizing!
ReplyDeleteYou are ready to go. It's been awhile since we've had babies, but we mainly used the dressers and little baskets for diapers and such.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of clothes, I think before they are born you buy everything you can think of (I did I have a huge loft full of clothers and shoes) as soon as they get a little older I think you start buying a lot less - always a hard one I think you always put your child first before your own wardrobe!!
ReplyDeletePerfect! I'm expecting our second too and my hubby wants the babes to share a room even though we have an extra bedroom. These are great tips for us!
ReplyDeleteHow cute. It has been so long since I had a baby in the house. I can't even tell you. I think everything was in the cost or his dresser drawers.

ReplyDeleteYou are so prepared! I've yet to have a baby so I have no clue about the best way to organize. I hope these next 5 weeks are smooth and comfortable!
ReplyDeleteMy nephew is a few months old so I definitely know how tough it is to make room in a small space. The organizers and bins help so much. Getting rid of this my brother and his wife didn't really need has helped too. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteAll of those clothes are cute. Babies need so much stuff that they can take over the house.
ReplyDeleteI like the little hanging storage cubes. We put everything in the dresser and a diaper holder.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on organization! This is such an exciting time. I really enjoyed getting ready for my two before they arrived.
ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest! Your baby is very blessed! I use storage bins for a lot of baby items and storage systems from Target!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everything is coming together nicely for your baby. I am not a mom yet but I like how you are using all your resources in your area to get things for the baby too!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh I see you're in total nesting mode! Love how you organized all the baby gear!
ReplyDeleteI just bought a condo and I'm working on maximizing the storage space. My closet has been the biggest project and this post was helpful! Thank you for sharing!
