Thank you to Britax, City Moms Blog Network, and Twin Cities Mom Blog for sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% my own!
This past Thursday I was invited to the Britax 2017 B-Ready Stroller Event hosted by Twin Cities Moms Blog, City Moms Blog Network, and Britax to get a chance to learn all about this amazing new stroller! At the event, Britax Reps gave a demo on how to us the stroller such as how to break it down and how to attach different accessories you can add to the stroller. Along with demos, the reps went over all the different safety features of the stroller, which is definitely most important to me since I will be using this stroller for my 3 year old and newborn baby. After learning about the different functions and features while snacking on cute Britax cookies each mommy got her stroller along with her little one and proceeded on a walk around the beautiful Centennial Lakes Park. The new 2017 B-Ready Stroller has a ton of great features!

I live near multiple grocery stores and Target is within walking distance (I walk there probably 3 to 5 times a week) along with living near multiple lakes and parks, I end up doing A LOT of walking. I actually really enjoy walking so I've put my new stroller to some serious use in the couple of days I've had it and I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with how amazing this stroller is. So far I've only used it with just the main seat. I also received the second seat which is sold separately and I also received the attachable car seat as a gift at my baby shower so those 2 thing I won't be able to use until I have baby girl (only 2 more weeks!!!).
The ride is so smooth and the stroller is easy to maneuver, being a single mommy I very frequently opening doors on my own and whatnot so the ease of the wheels is great and much appreciated when having to open/hold a door by myself with a huge pregnant belly. Pumpkin and myself definitely enjoy removing the bar for her to climb in and out of the stroller so I don't have to lift her much.
The canopy is by far definitely the best canopy I've ever seen on a stroller. Pumpkin hates when the sun is in her face, so being able to pull the canopy down and keep the sun out of her eyes is a life saver! She definitely enjoys that feature very much and she loves looking up at mommy through the top window that can be opened and closed while I push her around. When she wants a little shade but still wants to look around at her surroundings, we use only half of the canopy and having the 2 options is something you don't realize you ever needed until you have them.
My personal favorite feature as a mommy is the foam filled wheels. My previous stroller was a jogger stroller with wheels that needed to be filled with air and unfortunately the gas station employee whom I asked for help with filling the wheels up, literally butchered my wheels and because of this I will never use an air filled wheel stroller again! So the fact that these wheels are much more durable and don't require air is a huge plus for myself! The break is also great being able to just step and click locked and unlocked. Breaks are seriously important when it comes to safety, I definitely noticed that the stroller kind of rolls on its own a tiny bit when I came to a stop on my walks or that my daughter likes to push the stroller around while mommy is sitting taking a break and try to run into people and objects. That one click break got some great use haha.
As for the additional second seat I received, like I stated above I haven't put it to full use since baby isn't hear yet but I did play around with it a bit. Honestly, I had a very difficult time removing the second seat my first time. I referred to the directions and I personally feel the 2 steps listed are not detailed enough but I just have to keep practicing removing and adding it on. It could just be me and how almost everything is difficult when you have a 7+ lbs baby inside of you! I will get the hang of it eventually because I plan on using it on and off being that I want to do a lot of walking while Pumpkin is in daycare and will only be using the car seat attached when its just me and baby.
Last but most important, lets go over some safety tips!
- Register Your Stroller - I have always thrown out those register cards when I get baby gear because I just thought it was something extra and unnecessary until someone informed me that is the way you will find out important things such as recalls. I don't check up on my items to see if they are recalled or not so this is super important simply because you want to know if there is a defect in a product that could potentially harm your child! So fill out those register cards and mail them in ladies!!
- Read The Instructions - Definitely don't want to be guessing when it comes to something that handles your precious cargo. Reading the directions assures that your doing everything just right for you and baby.
- Secure Your Child - Make sure there is always a 5 point harness!
- Use Proper Folding & Storage
- Prevent Tipping
- Use The Break!
- Keep Clean
- Stay Alert!!!
Overall I am extremely happy with the new 2017 B-Ready Stroller and I can't wait to use it with my newborn and 3 year old together as they grow. I love that this stroller will grow with me as I go from using it for just my 3 year old, then to my newborn with her carseat, then transitioning her into the second seat and finally when my 3 year old grows out of strollers we can add a step attachment she can ride on and eventually using it back as just a single stroller with my second daughter. This stroller is so perfect for growing families with all of the different functions and attachments that can be added on! It's perfect for all type of mommies out there!
